This is for women and girls everywhere....
Hi family and friends, from November 25th, I’m going to be walking for a cause that is close to my heart.
Every woman and girl around the world, deserves to feel Safe. Everywhere. Always. – at home, at the gym, even online - and that is why I’m joining UN Women Australia in the walk to end violence against women and girls.
Help me reach my fundraising goal and we can help to build a better future for women and girls around the world.
My Updates

Safe Everywhere Always - today!
Monday 25th NovMy family, with our diverse cultural backgrounds, has always valued the strength that comes from unity and inclusivity. My daughter and I registered for this year's UN Women Australia Safe Everywhere Always. This initiative is close to our hearts as it aligns with our commitment to creating a safer world for everyone. Participating as a team will strengthen our bond and allow us to contribute to a cause that we deeply care about.
The Safe Everywhere Always initiative is a powerful movement aimed at ensuring safety for women and girls in all aspects of life. Some key statistics:
- Globally, an estimated 736 million women – almost one in three – have been subjected to physical and/or sexual violence at least once in their lifetime.
- In Australia, women face a 1 in 3 chance of being assaulted, and 1 in 2 will experience sexual harassment.
The UN Women Australia Safe Everywhere Always initiative includes a challenge where participants can complete 30, 60, or 100 kilometers over 16 days, from today (25 November) to 10 December, to raise awareness and vital funds to support programs working to end violence against women.
In 2023, 847 people participated, raising $82,427 for UN Women’s programs. Over $92,000 has already been raised for this year's initiative.
Adding to my family's continuing journey of making a difference, I completed the UNICEF Dusk to Dawn event this weekend. It was an eye-opening experience, highlighting the importance of supporting vulnerable children around the world. Walking through the night (37km / 8pm-4am), I felt a deep connection to the cause and a renewed sense of purpose.
Through these experiences, I have come to realise the power of community and the impact we can make when we come together for a common goal. It is my hope that by sharing this story, others will be inspired to make a positive difference in the world.
