Worldwide, one in three women will experience violence in their lives. From domestic violence to trafficking, it manifests in many forms with profound physical, psychological, and societal consequences. Despite decades of advocacy, its prevalence remains alarmingly high. The UN Trust Fund supports legal reforms, social and cultural change, and provides vital resources to grassroots organisations working to eradicate violence against women and girls in all its forms. The UN Trust Fund provides crucial support to ensure women and girls are Safe. Everywhere. Always.

expand_circle_down expand_circle_down

It is best to use your online fundraising link to fundraise, but if you do receive any cash or cheque donations, you can deposit the money into your bank account and then donate directly onto your page using your credit card. The total on your fundraising page will then reflect the funds you raised offline.

How do I get my friends and family to donate?
expand_circle_down expand_circle_down

The key to getting donations is to SHARE!

Visit our Resources page and download as many social tiles as you want. Share these on your social media and link your posts to your fundraising page.

You can also login to your fundraising page dashboard and click on 'Get Support' from the drop down menu. Here we have provided you with easy links to share your journey through different social media channels and an email (feel free to personalise this!) to send to your contacts.

Getting Started

What is Safe. Everywhere. Always?
expand_circle_down expand_circle_down

Safe. Everywhere. Always. is our call to action to come together and commit to meaningful change to end violence against women. We all have a role to play in making safer spaces for women everywhere and always.

An estimated 736 million women globally — almost one in three — have been subjected to physical and or sexual violence at least once in their life. In Australia, women face a 1 in 3 chance of being assaulted, and 1 in 2 will experience sexual harassment in their lifetime. It’s not just a statistic, it’s a national disgrace. And when 1 woman is violently killed every 4 days in Australia, we can’t afford to wait.

Safe. Everywhere. Always. runs during the UN’s 16 Days of Activism from 25 November – 10 December and raises vital funds for the UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women.

How do I log my KMs?
expand_circle_down expand_circle_down

Your fundraising page includes your personal distance tally so you can track your target and it’s also a great way to keep your friends updated on how you are going.

On 25 November, everyone’s distance tracking will return to 0km as this is the official start date of Safe. Everywhere. Always.

If you track your rides with Fitbit or Strava, your distances will automatically sync. If you do not use one of these apps, you can log your fitness activities manually. Click here and follow these instructions to sync your app.

If you have synced your app already but it is not working, please log out and log in again to re-connect.

Can I use my Apple watch to track my KMs?
expand_circle_down expand_circle_down

Due to limitations of our website, we can’t currently automatically sync Apple Watch data to Safe. Everywhere. Always.

For Apple users, we recommend that you log your KMs manually – just check your health app at the end of each day or week and input the KMs in your fundraising page dashboard. The instructions for manually entering your KMs are here

How can I motivate my Workplace to be involved?
expand_circle_down expand_circle_down

Encourage and inspire your colleagues to become part of your team or suggest that they create a separate team to foster healthy internal competition. I.T vs Marketing anyone?
