From November 25 to December 10, I’ll be walking 100 kms to support the safety of women and girls in Australia.

180,000 women reported physical assault in the past twelve months, and in 44% of those cases the perpetrator was a person known to the victim.

A woman or girl dies nearly every 11 days due to family violence in Australia. This is a national crisis. Violence has devastating and long-term impacts, including higher rates of depression and anxiety for victims, reduced employment rates and is the leading cause of homelessness for women and children.

I’m walking to raise awareness and advocate for more work to be done to make Australia safer for women and girls.
