Hi family and friends, from November 25th, I’m going to be walking for a cause that is close to my heart. 

Every woman and girl around the world, deserves to feel Safe. Everywhere. Always. – at home, at the gym, even online - and that is why I’m joining UN Women Australia in the walk to end violence against women and girls.

Hi everyone. I grew up in a household of domestic violence. My mother was regularly beaten and when I was finally old enough to try to intervene I left the house. And I never really properly stood up for her. That is something I will always regret and it’s too late now for her. Every woman I know has a story of some form of harassment from being made to be uncomfortable or to extremes of rape and violence. I know in my younger days I made sold women uncomfortable at times and that’s not acceptable. And so is not standing up for my mother more when I had the chance. And now more than ever I think men need to be standing up and ensuring all the women and girls of the world, not just the ones we know and love personally, are safe everywhere always.
