Jess Kennedy is a lived experience advocate, speaker and mental health worker who believes everyone deserves to feel safe, heard and supported.
As a queer woman with lived experience of family violence, Jess speaks openly about the barriers victim-survivors face, including stigma, discrimination and the difficulty of finding support that understands their experiences.
Taking part in the Walk Against Family Violence, Jess stands alongside victim-survivors and those working to prevent violence. She advocates for inclusive services, sustainable funding and support that is accessible when people need it.
Her message is simple: listen without judgement, believe people when they ask for help, and recognise that safety should never depend on who you are or who you love.
