Hi family and friends, from November 25th, I’m going to be walking for a cause that is close to my heart.
Every woman and girl around the world, deserves to feel Safe. Everywhere. Always. – at home, at the gym, even online - and that is why I’m joining UN Women Australia in the walk to end violence against women and girls.

Walking away for and from violence against women
Friday 23rd Oct- The latest ABS Personal Safety Survey indicates that roughly 1 in 4 women (27%) have experienced violence by an intimate partner or family member since age 15, compared to 1 in 8 men.
- On average, one woman is killed by an intimate partner approximately every 11 days in Australia. In domestic homicides involving female victims, around two-thirds (67%) were killed by an intimate partner.
- In recorded crime data, females account for 80% of all recorded sexual assault victims nationwide (over 31,600 female victims annually). More than 40% of all sexual assaults are related to family and domestic violence (FDV)
