This is for women and girls everywhere....
From November 25 to December 10, I’m going to be walking for a cause that is worthy of everyone’s support.
We’ve seen the statistics. In Victoria, 1 in 3 women self reported experience of physical violence since the age of 15, and 1 in 5 self reported experience of sexual violence since the age of 15. Yet only 20-30% of physical assault and roughly 8% of sexual assault is actually reported to authorities.
Every woman and girl around the world, deserves to feel Safe. Everywhere. Always. – at home, at work, at the gym, after dark, even online - and that is why I’m joining UN Women Australia in the walk to end violence against women and girls.
